The event will celebrate a very successful and eventful year for the WRBA, and will highlight the achievements of three honorees.
The Woman of the Year will be Josephine Wendell. Wendell volunteers for the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society, and as the official photographer for Project Woodhaven, she has been ubiquitous, taking over 40,000 photographs in the neighborhood since 2009.
The Man of the Year will be Richard Kaiser, a longtime resident who has volunteered for St. Thomas the Apostle for decades, including coordinating the parish's large annual rummage sale.

"Each year, our fundraiser provides a fun, happy opportunity to gather with many people who care about Woodhaven. We're thrilled to celebrate this year with highly deserving honorees," said WRBA President Martin Colberg. "Everyone who attends the fundraiser helps the Block Association's work for the community, so we hope to see you there."
The WRBA's annual fundraiser provides a major source of funding for the organization's continued operation.
